Booking & Cancellation policy

BOOKING POLICY

Clients must pay for SUP Lessons or SUP Lass Socials in full in advance using the online booking system. SUP Lesson bookings can be changed within 48 hours notice. After this time has passed, you will not be permitted to change your lesson.

All clients must read the appointment information provided to you on the booking form and submit it within 2 hours of the SUP Lesson. This will allow SUP up North to prepare kit, check sizes and assist clients where possible.

SUP up North can only provide kit sizes which are in stock at the time of booking. If we can not accommodate your size at the time of booking, an alternative time/date will be provided to you. If the alternative date is not suitable, a refund will be given to you.

If possible, please arrive to your SUP Spot 15 minutes early to receive your kit/try different sizes on if needed.

All SUP Spot locations will be confirmed within 24-48 hours of the booking date. If the weather/conditions dramatically change, I will monitor the suitability of SUP Spots up until 8 am on the day of the SUP Lesson booking date and offer an alternative SUP Spot, if appropriate.

All SUP Spots will be within 30-45 minutes of Newcastle. Please note SUP up North does not provide transport to SUP Spots.

SUP up North can only take adult clients at this stage.

SUP LESSON POLICY

Group SUP Lessons will include a maximum of 4 people per lesson.

If the group size bookings fall below the minimum booking number of 2 participants, you must book a Private SUP Lesson.

Private SUP Lessons will be conducted on a 1 to 1 basis.

SUP LASS SOCIAL POLICY

SUP Lass Socials will be hosted on the second Sunday of every month.

SUP Lass Socials will include a maximum of 8 people per session.

All paddlers must bring their own kit to participate. Kit MUST include: wetsuit, leash, buoyancy aid and paddle board. SUP up North may be able to provide spares, but only if available.

SUP Lass Social participants will use their kit at their own risk. SUP up North can not be made responsible for any kit failures, losses or theft.

SUP UP NORTH CANCELLATION POLICY

SUP up North has the right to change SUP Spots, suggest alternative times or dates for all SUP Lessons. These decisions will based on weather conditions, safety and client ability.

In the event that SUP up North cancels due to unsafe conditions or adverse weather, an alternative booking will be suggested, a full refund will be offered or a redeemable Gift Card equivalent to the value of your booking will be offered (valid for 12 months).

SUP up North can not be held responsible for SUP Lesson or SUP Lass Social cancellations caused due to unforeseen circumstances or SUP Spot closures.

CLIENT CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

A 48 hour cancellation policy applies to both Group SUP and Private SUP Lessons. This ensures that the business can run smoothly and other clients are not disappointed.

If clients cancel within 48 hours, or do not show up – refunds will not be permitted and you will be charged 100% of the SUP Lesson price. Only in exceptional circumstances will this charge be wavered (under SUP up North’s discretion).

If clients are more than 20 minutes late, SUP up North will assume you are a ‘No Show’ and you will not be able to participate. My apologies about this, but I must run on schedule as often we have tight weather windows and we can’t afford delays to other participants.

Clients are eligible for a full refund through the original payment method only. Once refunds have been processed, the refunded amount should be visible within 2-7 working (business) days, depending on the card-issuing bank and the payment method used.

Please note, Squarespace booking system are responsible for payment processing and SUP up North can not be made responsible for any unforeseen delays to refunds caused by Squarespace technical issues.

GIFT CARDS

Gift Cards are sold via the booking system only.

Gift Cards can be redeemed via entering a unique code into the booking system. This code is a unique number provided to you at the time of booking.

Gift Cards are valid for 12 months after the purchase date. Gift Cards are none refundable or transferable.
